  1. Open the Netback Price Sensitivity List. If you aren't already on the page, open the Netback Price Sensitivitieslist by navigating to Price Sensitivity from the Netback menu.

  2. Add a new Price Sensitivity. Click the Add icon on the Netback Price Sensitivities page.

  3. Edit the details. On the Overview page, enter a Name and Description for the Price Sensitivity Scenario.

  4. Select a case. On the Settings page, use the Netback Case menu to select the case you wish to determine the sensitivity of.

  5. Add your products. Click the Add icon to add a new product to the list (this icon can be found at the bottom of the page).

This will add a new row for each product, and from there you can enter the variation in product price. For example, to determine the effect of an increase in the price of diesel, you would add a row would, and enter the increase.

  6. Choose the category. Double click the Category column to choose the product type whose price is affected.

For each group of products or particular product which is expected to shift a price delta can be entered

  7. Choose a grade. Double click the Product Grade column to choose the particular grade whose price is affected, or select All Grades to shift the price of all grades in this category.

Using the Product Grade column, you can restrict the price change to particular grades of product. For example, if the change was only expected on low sulphur diesel, the delta could be entered for this, and the other diesel grades would be evaluated with their standard pricing as configured in the case.

  8. Enter the price delta. Enter the price delta in the Delta column. To shift the price of the product down, enter a negative (-) value.

  9. Add more materials, as required. Enter other price shifts for different materials by adding new rows to the grid using the Add icon .

  10. View the results.

The Preview page shows the results of the Price Sensitivity analysis. When the Netback Case is configured to analyze crudes separately, a row is shown for each separate crude; when the Case is configured to show results from blending, the rows show the results for each blend. The columns in the grid show the variation in price for the crude or blend row for that particular change in price.

Hover the mouse over the column header to review the change in product price per barrel.
