Common categories

The list of common Add message categories describes categories available when searching for messages in Assay or when adding messages to Assay. As a forums administrator, you control the selection of common categories available to the user from the Common Categories dialog on the Forums Administration page.

To add a new category, enter the name of the new category in the blank field provided and select the Add button. For example, to add a new category called Mercaptans, enter Mercaptans in the field provided.

To remove an existing category, select the category from the list provided and select the Remove button.

If you wish to remove all common categories, you can do this by selecting the Remove All button.
