Import filter

The Import filter option provides a powerful mechanism for building a new filter from existing filters. Any existing filter can serve as a basis on which a new filter may be built.

To configure a new filter based on an import filter, select an import filter from the dropdown list. The dropdown list shows all configured filters known to Assay. Then, add additional filter conditions to construct the complete filter. The resulting filter combines the conditions of the existing filter with any new conditions you might have added.

Note: When using a filter based on import filters, changes to the underlying filters are also reflected in the overall filter built on those filters.
