You can configure units of measure and display precision for all the properties used in Assay. In addition to choosing the unit of measure itself, you can configure the following items:
-
Weight or volume basis. This is available for the following property types:
-
Pure components (such as amount of ethane or benzene).
-
Composition (such as amount of paraffins or naphthalenes).
-
Yield (both yields of fractions and cumulative yields).
-
Mean boiling point (both weight and volume averages are possible).
-
-
Measurement temperature. The temperature at which the measurement was made. Available for the following property types:
-
Density (due to thermal expansion).
-
Viscosity (which changes according to temperature).
-
-
Measurement percentage. When requesting a point on the cumulative yield curve, it is necessary to specify the percentage off, in order to determine the corresponding boiling point.
-
Display format. Controls the rounding and significant figures of displayed property values. You set it by choosing a format code from a list.
The meaning of the codes is explained in the following table.
