In addition to entering text content for your message using the provided text editor, you can also attach files (such as Microsoft® Word® documents or PDF files) to your message. Attaching files to messages in Assay is similar to attaching files to email messages using an email application like Microsoft® Outlook®.

To attach a file to your message, select the Browse... button adjacent to the Attachments text box. A file selector dialog opens. Browse to the directory containing the file you wish to upload and select it. The file path and name of the file appears in the Attachments textbox to indicate your selection.

You are free to attach as many files to your message as you like, one at a time, providing that each file is less than 20 MB in size. If you try to attach a file whose size is larger than 20 MB, Assay issues an error message.

Note that certain types of files, such as .exe (executable) or .js (JavaScript) files, cannot normally be received as attachments, because such files may contain hidden viruses or other malicious code. The precise kinds of files you can receive as attachments is controlled by your Assay systems administrator.

To remove a file that you have attached, select the Remove button next to the name of the file you wish to remove. The file is detached from your message.
