Assay provides a range of reports for easy output of crude oil data in a variety of forms. Standard reports are Assay reports that have a fixed, standardised report format. For example, the industry-standard Blue Book report is a standard Assay report. For additional flexibility, Assay also offers a range of template-based reports where the output of the report is tailored according to a user-defined or pre-configured template. See Template-Based Reports.

Standard reports may be generated for either a single crude or for sets of crudes. To generate a standard report for any crude or set of crudes, perform one of the following actions:
-
Choose the relevant report option from the Reports menu.
-
Configure a report column in a View, and click on the relevant report icon.
Usually, you generate a report for a single crude by clicking on the report button alongside the crude in a database component, while you generate a report for a set of crudes using the Report pages accessed from the Reports menu.
