Crude statistics

The Crude Statistics can be used to understand how many possible blends a crude features in. The list shows each crude included in the Crude List. Different columns in the list show statistics for each crude:

  • Options - the percentage of final possible blends that the crude is present in; a required crude would be in 100% of blends

  • Crude Price - the price of the crude including the freight charge

  • Min Price - the price of the cheapest blend that includes the crude

  • Max Price - the price of the most expensive blend that includes the crude

  • Mean Price - the mean average price of blends including this crude

  • Min - the minimum percentage of the crude that is present in a possible blend

  • Max - the maximum percentage of the crude that is present in a possible blend

  • Mean - the arithmetic mean percentage of the crude that is present in the possible blends.

Using the crude statistics it is possible to determine which crudes are particularly suitable for blending, for example if they have a good combination of price and property values. This can help in identifying the best crudes for inclusion in a blend while widening the list of potential candidates.
