Reference data conditions

When including Reference Data, such as crude name or refinery, in the set of conditions it is possible to filter either on text in the Reference Data name, or to filter on specific existing Reference Data items. For example if filtering on a traded crude it is possible to either filter on the string arab, which would filter all crudes whose name begins with 'arab', or alternatively to set a traded crude of Arab Light, which would only filter on cargoes of this specific crude.

To filter on the text set the condition to one of the following:

  • = - the name of the reference data exactly matches the text

  • <> - the name of the reference data differs from the text

  • Like - the name of the reference data contains the text

  • Not Like - the name of the reference data does not contain the text.

To filter on specific items of Reference Data, you can also set the Condition to one of the following:

  • In List - the specific item of reference data for the cargo is in the list of items

  • Not In List - the specific item of reference data for the cargo is not in the list of items.

When selecting In List or Not In List, you must select the reference data items to filter against. Select the icon to open the object selector for that set of Reference Data.

For example, setting a filtering condition of In List for a refinery, it would be possible to set alerts only for Texas City, by adding this location to the Condition list.
