Define advanced filtering

You define custom step filters for reuse in the All Cargoes view.

  1. Select the Configure Filters icon () next to the Filter dropdown.

    The Configure Filter dialog opens.

  2. Select the New icon to create a filter.

  3. Select the Overview tab and enter a name and description for the filter. If you want to share the filter with other users, select a share from the Share dropdown.

  4. Select the Filter tab. In the top Filter box, use the Field dropdown to choose the value upon which to base the filter. For example, if you want to show the cargoes processed at a given refinery, select the Refinery field.

Depending on the field you have chosen, different controls appear to allow you to set the filter condition.

  5. In most cases, you can choose an operator (like = or <>) from a dropdown and enter a value in a text field. Define the filter according to your needs.

  6. By default, the Filter box branches out to two Result boxes, so that cargoes satisfying the condition are shown and those not satisfying the condition are hidden. You can change this behaviour by selecting and deselecting the Match checkboxes, for example,to show only the cargoes which do not satisfy the condition. You can also change one or both boxes from Result to Filter, to add more conditions and build more complex filters.

  7. Once you have made all your changes, select OK to save the filter. You can now select the filter from the Filter dropdown.

See Step filters for more information.
