Navigation: Data > Cargo Data > Add Bulk Cargoes

Cargo References are generated automatically using the standard naming convention. When saving the data only cargoes which have valid data will be saved, so references without data are not saved to the Cargo Tracking database. References can be overridden if required but should use an approved naming convention.

After entering all the cargo details select the Save icon to submit the cargoes to Assay and create the cargoes.

If any of the entered cargoes have invalid data a warning will show what items need to be corrected before the cargoes can be successfully saved.

Data can be pasted into the Bulk Cargo Entry grid from other software applications such as Microsoft® Excel. When pasting data, the pasted values are automatically validated to ensure they match reference data present in Assay where appropriate. For example, traded crude names are validated to ensure the entered crude type is registered in Assay. If the pasted value cannot be matched to an existing reference type in Assay the value will not be pasted.

Any errors in the cargo details will be highlighted in the grid and must be corrected before the cargoes can be created.
