The Settings page is used to control overrides and layouts in the report output.

The Override Cases section allows individual configurations in each Case to be overridden by a single global set of configuration data, that is, the override will be applied in every Case in the Case List. To override a particular configuration, select the check box next to the required configuration. This will display a list of available configurations you can override each Case with. Select the name of the required configuration from the menu.

For example, to override the set of pricing data in each Case select the Product pricing check box. This will display a menu with all the available sets of Product pricing configurations. Select the required set of Product pricing. When the report is generated, every case will use this selected override pricing, rather than using the set of price data configured in the case.

Settings available are:

  • Run base load cases as - where a case in the case list uses a Base Load, allows the case to be run in its original setting as a Base Load. Alternatively, allows the crudes to the case to be analysed as Separate crudes, or runs the case in both Base Load and Separate crude mode

  • Product pricing date - allows overriding of the product pricing date in the case to use either the current pricing or pricing on a historical date, selected using the calendar

  • Crude pricing date - allows overriding of the crude pricing date in the case to use either the current pricing or pricing on a historical date, selected using the calendar

  • Product pricing - allows an alternative product pricing configuration to be used for all cases

  • Crude pricing - allows an alternative crude pricing configuration to be used for all cases

  • Crude freight - allows an alternative freight pricing configuration to be used for all cases.

The Report Layout section allows the layout of the produced report to be controlled:

  • Report Format: defines whether results are shown stacked according to their group by setting, or presented in a single list according to the group by setting

  • Group results by: defines how the results are grouped together, either with no grouping and so presented in the order in the case list, ordered by Refinery settings (for example grouping by refinery type) or ordered by pricing scenario, grouping cases with the same pricing configurations.

  • Group crudes by: defines how results are grouped together for crudes, either grouping crudes with the same benchmark crude together or grouping crudes together as they are defined in each case.
