Alerting Constraints

Select the alert () icon at the top of the traded crude page to edit the property constraints. This setting triggers an alert when you add a cargo for this traded crude.

When you select the icon, the Alerting Constraints page opens with two options:

  • Use 1.95σ control limits: Keep using the default settings, which trigger an alert when a measurement is more that 1.95 standard deviations from the property value for the recommended assay.

  • Use manual control limits: If you select this option, a property table appears. You can add more properties if you wish. For each property, you can enter in the Range column a value for the new size of the range outside which an alert is triggered. The other table columns are the following:

  • Value: The value of the property for the recommended assay.

  • Min and Max: The boundaries of your custom range for the property value. For example, if the density is 0.8705 g/cc and you enter a Range value of 0.1, Min is 0.7705 and Max 0.9705.

  • Auto Min and Auto Max: The boundaries of the property value range if using the default 1.95σ rule. Useful to compare with your custom range.
