BlendExplorer can run in two different modes; these are selected on the Mode menu.

  • Incremental Blend blends each Test Crude with the Base Blend at 10 different percentages as defined by a range. Therefore if five Test Crudes are used, 50 (10 x 5) different blends are evaluated.

  • Base Load mode blends each Test Crude with the Base Blend at only one percentage. Therefore if five Test Crudes are used, five blends are evaluated.
