Assay Overview

The Assay Overview database component provides a summary or overview of the selected assay. It is divided into two sections:

• An Assay Details section, which provides descriptive information about the assay.

• A database view, which provides a link to the associated traded crude.

Assay Details section

The Assay Details section of the Assay Overview component provides a summary of the descriptive information known about the assay.

• General fields: including Name, Origin, Region and Recommended Status.

• Date fields: including Release Date and Update Date.

• Additional fields: including Laboratory and Load Port.

The descriptive information supplied in the Assay Details section can be edited for user crudes ("User Crudes" on page 94). For all other crudes in the database, descriptive assay details cannot be modified.

Note that, for all crudes other than user crudes, the descriptive information provided in the Assay Details section for an assay corresponds to the descriptive information supplied in the original assay. If little or no descriptive information exists in the original assay, then many or all of the information fields displayed in the Assay Details section are blank.
