When you create, copy or edit a view, you use the Configure Views page. The content of the view is shown and you modify existing columns and add new columns. Collectively, the configured columns form the view, which you can then save and apply to the crude database.

The columns list displays the columns that collectively comprise the view. For each column in the columns list, you can perform the following actions:
-
Configure columns by type: creates a column to show a particular property, possibly over a custom or standard cut.
-
Manage the column order: Organise the appearance of columns in the view by rearranging the order of columns in the Columns List using the column order management buttons. See Order Columns.
By repeatedly configuring columns in this way, you can collectively build up your view. Once all existing columns in the template have been configured, you can add additional columns to the view by pressing the Update button in the Settings panel. Note that the maximum number of columns that can be configured in a view is 80.
