This Getting Started Guide offers a hands-on introduction to DYNSIM® and the SCP software. As you work through the tutorials in this guide, you will see how easy it is to build models of your process and connect them to your Foxboro EvoTM Control Software.

SCP software is the emulation of a Foxboro Evo Control Processor (CP270/CP280). The instrument and control signals that link the two pieces together are managed with a cross-reference database utility built into the Graphical User Interface (GUI). This guide will take you through installation of the hardware and software needed to run the SCP application.

If you have not installed the DYNSIM and SCP software on your computer, install the software using the SCP Installation Guide prior to reviewing this document.

First-time users of the SCP software should perform all the tutorials in the specified order to become familiar with the available tools that will prepare you to construct your own control checkout or simulation project.
