The following are typical non-simulation system configurations where SCP maybe used. These configurations represent a controls development environment (DCS/PAS checkout) where SCP functions as a virtual controller without simulation features (freeze/run and snapshot capabilities). In the following diagrams the SCP machine runs the simulator control processors (SCP Apps) and does not run Foxboro software. These are referred to as SCP Standalone installations.
