Creating a new SCP Configured System

The SCP Configured System is simply of list of SCPs and the necessary information to launch them. The list is not dynamically updated. If the user adds/modifies a CP (changes the system definition) he must recreate the list. The "Day 1" procedure has no effect on the information displayed in the SCP Configured System.
The SCP Launcher loads an IIF.prm file to obtain the list of SCPs configured as part of the Foxboro Evo System Definition (SysDef). This file can be found on the AW or WSTA in the D:\usr\fox\sp directory. You’ll need to have this file available to create a new configured system.

To create a new simulation
-
Click the
New button in the SCP Launcher GUI. The New Scp Config window appears.

-
Enter a name in the SCP Configured System text field to identify this configuration. The name has no requirements other than a legal Windows filename.
-
Enter the IIF.prm location by clicking the ellipsis (…) button to browse to the location containing the file (pictured below). Select the IIF.prm file, and then click Open.

-
Browse to the IIF.prm file (copied from the WSTA machine), and then click Open. The file path updates in the New Scp Config window.
-
Click Save. This creates a new SCP Configured System file (in this case, SCP.xml) under the default directory "C:\Users\<User>\Documents\SimSci\SCP\Data".
