AVEVA™ Simulation for Foxboro Control

Uninstalling Software

Care must taken when uninstalling software from an OTS system. SimSci simulation products should be removed in the reverse order they were installed.

SCP software provides simulation features to Foxboro software products; therefore, if you need to uninstall Foxboro software products you must uninstall SCP software first. See Foxboro Evo Software Installation Overview.

SCP and DYNSIM 5.3.x have a particular installation order; therefore, if you need to uninstall DYNSIM 5.3.x you must uninstall SCP then uninstall DYNSIM 5.3.x. See OTS / Dynsim Simulation Suite 5.3.x.

The SCP installation process makes backup copies of various FoxView files and installs simulation versions of those files. The SCP uninstallation process removes the simulation versions of those files and restores the original FoxView files. If FoxView is uninstalled before SCP the result can be a broken system that will neither install nor uninstall properly. Should that happen, consult Appendix E: How to Repair a Failed SCP Uninstall to correct the problem.
