AVEVA™ Simulation for Foxboro Control

SimSync Engine Configuration

The SimSync Engine is the time controller for SCP and must be added as part of the simulation configuration, pointing to each of the following stations:

  • WSTA70

  • WSVR70

  • SCP machine

  • Control Processor (CP) Host machine and all stations that have SCP software installed

  1. In the DYNSIM Graphical User Interface (GUI), click the File menu, select New, and then select Engines and Flowsheets.

  2. In the Engines section, click the Add button.

  3. Enter the name of your CP Host (WSTA70, WSVR) machine in the Engine Host field and press Enter.

  4. Select SimSync Engine from the Engine Type drop-down list.

  5. Enter the engine name in the Engine Name field and click Create.

  6. Click Close to exit the Simulation Configuration window.

  7. Repeat this step, adding a SimSync Engine to every Foxboro and SCP installed computer.

  8. Continue to the next section, SCP AIM* Historian, before starting the simulation.
