Starting the FAIM Processes

After FAIM installs on the system, complete the following procedure to enable the FAIM historian processes to run automatically when the system reboots.

On the Start menu, click Control Panel.

Select FAIM Options (32-bit).
Note: If the FAIM Options dialog box does not appear, change the UAC settings to Never, reboot the computer, and try again. To modify the UAC settings, click Start, type UAC in the provided text box, and press Enter. The User Account Control Settings dialog box will appear. After completing this section, return UAC to the original settings.

Click Start FAIM.

Select the "Check if you want to start FAIM processes at boot" option.

Click Start FAIM.

Note: The following processes run in Task Manager upon reboot: FAIMHistSrv.exe, FAIMHrFetch.exe, FAIMHsFetch.exe, and FAIMIpchisti.exe.
