There are two options when mapping:

Map an existing (old) device to dead end (safely terminate messages).

Map an existing (old) device to a new device (redirect messages).

In the image below, device hist01 is dead-ended and devices WP001 & WP002 are mapped to 1WSTA1. Note that 1WSTA1 is a Logical Name.
