An Operator Training Simulator will have one or more machines running SCP Apps. Each machine is connected to the FECN (formely MESH) network and the simulation network. These machines have either DYNSIM Activation Manager or DYNSIM Simulation Suite installed in addition to SCP. At least one machine will have a Flexera license server to provide a license for DYNSIM and SCP.

SCP is compatible with DYNSIM 5.3.x through DYNSIM 6.0 software but the installation order varies depending on the DYNSIM version.

DYNSIM Activation Manager

The installation order does not matter for SCP 3.1 and DYNSIM Activation Manager software. The installation order does not matter for Flexera software.

DYNSIM Simulation Suite 6.0

The installation order does not matter for SCP 3.1 and DYNSIM Simulation Suite 6.0 software. The installation order does not matter for Flexera software.

DYNSIM Simulation Suite 5.3.x

The installation order does matter for SCP 3.1 and DYNSIM Simulation Suite 5.3.x software as follows:

1. Install DYNSIM 5.3.x

2. Install SCP 3.1 after DYNSIM 5.3.x

If the user plans to install a newer version or HF for DYNSIM Simulation Suite 5.3.x then the following procedure must be followed:

3. Uninstall SCP 3.1

4. Uninstall DYNSIM 5.3.x

5. Install DYNSIM 5.3.x

6. Install SCP 3.1

It is possible to successfully install the software in the wrong order. The installers cannot check for this. After installation the simulation may run for many hours without a problem and then die unexpectedly.

The installation order does not matter for Flexera software.
