Adding Button Widgets

The steps below describe adding buttons to allow you to set and reset the latch block.

Expand the Widgets library and select Button.

In the Motor Tieback window, click anywhere above the latch to add a Button.

Right-click near the button to bring up the context menu. Select Draw Attributes.

Enter M100.LATCH in the Point Name field and type 1 in the Point Value field (pressing the button will set M100.LATCH to 1).

Enter SET in the Button Label field.

Click OK to close the dialog box and apply the changes.

Select Button in the Widgets library.

In the Motor Tieback window, click anywhere above the latch to add a button.

Right-click near the button to bring up the context menu. Choose Draw Attributes.

Enter M100.LATCH in the Point Name field and enter 0 in the Point Value field (pressing the button will set M100.LATCH to 0).

Enter RESET in the Button Label field.

Click OK to close the dialog box and apply the changes.

Save the graphic by clicking the Save icon (
). Alternatively click the File menu and select Save.
