AVEVA™ Simulation for Foxboro Control

FAIM Batch

FAIM comes with a batch configuration application that provides the same functionality as histbatch does for AIM. For the basics of setting up and using FAIM, see SCP AIM*Historian Support section in the SCP Getting Started Guide.

FAIMBatch allows the user to download the batch configuration input files obtained from the AIM*Historian instances or legacy historian instances (via leg2fh,) or download the files that have been manually created.

Note: A FAIMEngine must be running on the local computer in order to use FAIMBatch.

To download a configuration file into FAIM, configure an instance of FAIMEngine in the simulation. Configure the FAIMEngine the historian logical name for the instance in the FAIMEngine and reload the simulations so that the FAIMEngine processes start.
