The SCP Engine allows DYNSIM Simulation Executive to control the simulation time (freeze/run), save and restore the snapshots (tags, trends, alarms), and coordinate the data transfer (cross referencing between engines) between the individual SCPs running on a machine and the rest of the simulation environment. There can only be one SCP Engine per computer. There may be multiple SCP Engines in a simulation (one per computer).
