AVEVA™ Simulation for Foxboro Control

SCP Application Console Messages

When an SCP App is launched from the SCP Launcher (with Show Windows enabled), the SCP console window appears and displays several messages. These messages are independent of the options selected in the Launcher.

The first message gives the summary of the SCP Type, SCP version number, Letterbug, MAC address, launch date, and launch time of the SCP.

The next message confirms the validity of its license.

This message means the SCP license will expire when the time and date on the license server reaches 11:59:59 PM on Jun 1, 2019. If the SCP license will expire at the end of the current day, the message will be:

The next message gives the Loading Details of the Checkpoint file. The Checkpoint file is loaded from the CP host or from the Local checkpoint saved in the SCP machine, based on the option selected in the SCP Launcher GUI.

Once the blocks are downloaded, SCP goes online and displays the message below.

Once the "SCP is simulation ready" message appears, it is ready to connect to a DYNSIM simulation through the SCPEngine. An SCP starts life running in the "Real time" mode. Until SCP is connected to a simulation, it continues running in the "Real time" mode.

NOTE: All of the SCPs must display the above banner "SCP is simulation ready" before starting the DYNSIM simulation. The simulation will only connect to SCPs that display the above banner. If an SCP displays "SCP is simulation ready" after the SCPEngine launches, that SCP will not be part of the simulation. To correct the problem, shutdown the DYNSIM simulation and restart it.
