When SCP is installed on a virtual machine with a virtual network interface card, the IA Virtual switch protocol driver sets the selected network adapter to promiscuous mode.

On a system in which the Foxboro FECN (formerly MESH) network uses a virtual switch, the user must set the virtual switch to promiscuous to allow all packets to transfer.

  • When SCP is installed on a virtual machine with a virtual network interface card, the IA Virtual switch protocol driver does not set the network adapter to promiscuous mode. The user must set the virtual network to promiscuous.
