If SCP fails to uninstall properly

The following steps assume that FoxView is still installed and then SCP was uninstalled.

Follow the steps below to correct the problem.

1. Turn off I/A and reboot.

2. Navigate to the folder d:\opt\fox\wp\FoxView.

3. Verify the following files exist:

   

4. If all the above files are present, delete the following files:

   • foxview.exe

   • foxview_rc.dll

   • lic_swi.dll

5. Rename the following files:

   • foxview.exe.ia_orig to foxview.exe

   • foxview_rc.dll.ia_orig to foxview_rc.dll

   • lic_swi.dll.ia_orig to lic_swi.dll

6. Navigate to the folder d:\usr\fox\wp\ams\bin.

7. Verify the following files exist:

   

8. If all the above files are present, delete the following files:

   • aaServer.exe

   • aht.exe

   • am.exe

9. Rename the following files:

   • aaServer.exe.ia_orig to aaServer.exe

   • aht.exe.ia_orig to aht.exe

   • am.exe.ia_orig to am.exe

10. Navigate to the folder d:\usr\fox\system32.

11. Verify the following files exist:

    

12. If both the above files are present, delete wam.dll.

13. Rename wam.dll.ia_orig to wam.dll.

14. Delete the folder d:\opt\scp.

15. Delete registry key HKLM\SOFTWARE\Invensys\IASeries\Launcher\SCP.

16. Turn on I/A and reboot.

If you were not able to complete the above steps as prescribed (because the "ia_orig" files did not exist), then try to obtain these files from another similarly installed machine in your system. Failing that then your only option is to format the disk and reinstall the operating system and other software.
