Follow the steps below:
-
Click Start, point to All Programs, then SIMSCI, then SCP.

-
Click SCP Device Mapping Tool. The Device Map tool launches, displaying all active CPs.

-
Select a CP, and then click Read. A tabular grid appears, displaying details for the referenced devices of the selected CP.
Note: If there are no devices for the selected CP, or if the map file contains nonexistent devices and no device exists in the selected CP, then a dialog box error appears.

-
Enter a new existing Device Name for each old device. If you wish to deactivate an old device, leave its Device Name blank.

-
Select the Load Devices into CP after Save option.
-
Click Save. The file will be saved under "C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\SimSci\SCP\<CPName>" in the .smp format.
Each time the mapping tool runs, it will load the previously saved settings. Clicking Save will overwrite the previous map file.
