Software Overview

SCP Software is fully compatible with and provides simulations functions for systems using Foxboro Evo Control Core Services (CCS) and Foxboro FoxView. To a lesser extent SCP Software is compatible with systems using Foxboro Evo Control Software (CS) and Control HMI. It is important to understand the various Foxboro software packages you will use so that you can plan your installations of SCP and other simulation products.

For completeness, the components of both Foxboro software packages, Control Core Services and Control Software, are listed in Appendix F: Foxboro CCS and CS Components.

• Foxboro Evo Control Core Services, Foxboro FoxView, Foxboro Evo Control Software / Control HMI can be mixed and matched in different combinations on a single OTS system. Possible combinations include (but are not limited to):

• CCS and FoxView using ICC as controls configurator

• CCS, CS, and FoxView using ArchestrA IDE as controls configurator

• CCS, CS, and Control HMI using ArchestrA IDE as controls configurator

• A hybrid of the above with some controls deployed from ICC and some from IDE.

• A hybrid of the above with some controls operated from FoxView and some from ConrolHMI.

The hybrids mentioned above may contain separate MESH networks in actual plant.

SCP Software functions with all three Foxboro software packages (CCS, FoxView, CS) but it does not provide simulation features for Control HMI. SCP Software should not be installed on a Control HMI machine. Another product called Foxboro EvoSim / System Platform Simulation provides simulation features for Control HMI machines.
