Change License Server Machine Name

If you need to point your SCP toward a different license server machine name, after installing SCP software, this can be done by modifying the Windows environment variable IPASSI_LICENSE_FILE.

Do the following:

1. Open the Windows Control Panel then open System.

2. Select Advanced system settings (red arrow below).

   

3. Select the Advanced tab and then select Environment Variables (red arrow below).

   

4. Select the Advanced tab and then select Environment Variables.

   

5. Select the IPASSI_LICENSE_FILE variable and click Edit.

   

6. Enter the name of the new Flexera FNP license server.

7. Click OK.

8. Click OK to close the Environment Variables and OK to close the System Properties windows.

9. Reboot to the Environment Variable changes to take effect.
