Applications are typically divided into four groups:
-
Workstation Processors (WSTAs), such as FoxView™ software and ICC/IACC/Foxboro Evo Configuration Tools
-
Simulation Executive computers, which typically run the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and a DYNSIM-L engine
-
SCP processes, including SCPLauncher, SCP App, SCP Monitor, and SCP Engine
-
Other Engines (Example: TRISIM®, OPC, or EXCEL)
The simulation computers should be fully booted and the applications should start in the order specified below.
-
Power up the WSTA. Allow the FoxView Initial Display to appear before proceeding.

-
Power up the machine running Simulation Executive.
-
Power up the SCP machine.
WARNING: The SCP and DYNSIM simulation computers should never be connected to a production FECN (formerly MESH) network. In addition, it is recommended that the simulation system is not connected to any corporate or business network.
