The SCP Control Analysis Tool displays CP details related to system health, OM connections, free memory within a CP, communication between CPs, and string count. Use this tool when analyzing new controls to avoid overloading a single CP or to debug unusual behavior such as failure to communicate between CPs.
-
Click Start, point to All Programs, then SIMSCI, then SCP.

-
Click SCP Control Analysis Tool. The tool opens, displaying a list of all active CPs in a tree-view structure.

-
Click a CP to view details on System Summary, String Pool summary, DBVU Reports, and Compounds/Blocks loaded with OM connections.

-
Expand a CP and click its System Summary listing to view details on Packet/Block count usage, BPC value, Station type, number of peer-to-peer connections, number of Compounds/Blocks/ECBs, and other detailed information.

-
To view a CP’s String Pool, expand it and click its String Pool listing. To manage a CP’s memory usage, all strings are indexed and saved in a string pool, which consists of the CP’s string, string count (usage), and string length.

-
To view various reports on a CP, expand it and click its DBVU Reports listing. Among its sub-reports, this section contains:
Remote Links: Details the block’s OM connections (Disconnected, Deleted & Not Found) including source path, sink path and OM status.

Phase Period Report: Displays a tabular form of number of blocks falling under a particular Phase-Period combination.

C:B Phase Period Report: Lists Period and Phase of each Compound:Block loaded into the CP.

Block Type Phase Period: Lists Period and Phase values of each Block Type. It also displays number of blocks per Block Type.

Compound/Block Error: Lists blocks loaded with any Error/Warning, with the error/warning code and description.

-
To view a CP’s compounds and controls, expand it and its Compound / Blocks section. This section provides information such as links, link type, OM, and status for connectible parameters.
