Installing SCP Software on a Single Box Setup

Prior to installing SCP, verify the following:

You have reviewed the section Minimum System Requirements and ensured that this machine meets the hardware and Multicore requirements.

You have reviewed the section Prerequisites and, if required, installed KB3033929.

This machine has loopback adapters for the FECN (formerly MESH) network.

You have reviewed the section Software Overview for Typical Simulation System Configurations and identified your configuration.

You have reviewed the section Foxboro Evo Software Installation Overview and its flowchart.
-
You have reviewed the section Foxboro Evo Software Pre-Installation.
-
You have reviewed the section Installation Order by Workstation Type, installed all of the correct versions of Control Core Services and FoxView for this machine, and are ready to install SCP.

You have reviewed the section Installation Order by Workstation Type and installed DYNSIM if your version of DYNSIM must be installed prior to SCP installation..
-
This machine is disconnected from the company LAN and the internet.

You have disabled I/A Series.
Note: These single box installation steps depict a virtual machine. The same steps can be used on a physical machine as well.
The following steps describe the installation of SCP on an I/A Series / Control Core Services installed machine.

Turn off I/A and reboot.

Open the command window and navigate to the location of the SCP setup.exe file, as shown below.

Run the command setup.exe ONE_BOX=1 as shown below.

Follow the steps in section Installing SCP machine (non-Foxboro) until you see the window pictured below. Select the NIC that will connect the SCP computer to the FECN (formerly MESH) network. (Remember which NIC you select as you will return to this network adapter in the post-installation steps. In this example we select adapter #2.) Select only one and then click Next.

Click Install to proceed.

Click Finish once installation completes.
