This Appendix describes how to repair a failed SCP uninstall on a Foxboro FoxView HMI workstation.

As per the Foxboro Evo Software Installation Overview section, always follow these two general rules:

  1. SimSci simulation software must be installed after Foxboro software is installed.

  2. SimSci simulation software must be uninstalled before Foxboro software in uninstalled.

When SCP is installed on a machine with CCS and/or FoxView, the SCP installer replaces certain files with simulation specific versions. Before replacing these files the SCP installer makes copies of the originals, with the extension ".ia_orig". This allows the SCP installer to uninstall SCP and restore the original functionality of CCS and/or FoxView.
