Set up the Application Language

You can configure the application language to use AVEVA Recipe Management in the preferred language by using the Language option available in the System Configuration page. For details on how to set the preferred language, see Configure Language.

By default, English (United States) is only available for setting up the preferred language in AVEVA Recipe Management. You can set other languages as preferred by importing these languages using the Localization utility (RepositoryResourceUtil.exe) and then using the Language option.

The application's preferred language is used if you do not set the language for the selected user. AVEVA Recipe Management overrides the application's language setting if you set the preferred language for the user.

For users added to a group, the application's preferred language is used. All users in the group will have the application's language set accordingly.

If a user does not belong to any group and has a different language preference set, their preferred language will take precedence over the application's preferred language.

During product upgrades from earlier versions, the user's preferred language takes precedence over the application's language. However, if no preferred language is set for the application or the user, the application will default to English (United States).

NOTE:
- Make sure to restart or refresh the browser to reflect the changes in Language set to take effect.
- Even if the user selects a preferred language in the browser, the language set at the application or user level takes precedence.
