When you install AVEVA Recipe Management 2023 R2 (v5.1) on a system that already has an earlier version of AVEVA Recipe Management installed, the installation procedure automatically detects the earlier version and upgrades it to AVEVA Recipe Management 2023 R2 (v5.1).
NOTE:
- Ensure that the user running the AVEVA Recipe Management setup.exe and/or the Configurator utility has 'sysadmin' privileges in SQL Server.
The 'sysadmin' privilege defined in SQL Server is necessary for the successful upgrade

- If you have localized the AIM Login page and are upgrading from versions earlier

C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\Platform Common Services\Management Server\Resources\Languages.
