Modify Documents/Instructions Associated with a Capability

You can update the documents/instructions for a Capability instance in a Recipe Procedure even though the procedure itself is not editable. If no instructions or a document is defined during the Recipe Template Procedure configuration phase, you can add new instructions or a document while editing a Recipe. Otherwise, you can continue with the default documents or instructions defined during the Procedure configuration.

You can add, update, or delete documents or instructions only when you check out the Recipe.

To add documents or instructions

  1. Open the Recipe details page and then select an instance of a Capability in the Procedure container.

  2. Click View Document. The Document View Details sliding window appears.

  3. In the Instruction section, do the following:

    1. Instructions: Specify the instructions specific to this Capability for the operator.

    2. Document Label: Specify the document label for the document provided.

    3. Document URL: Specify the URL for the document. In execution, the document content will be displayed. You can open only those document types that are supported by a browser.

    4. Test URL: Click the Test URL button to verify the given URL.

  4. Click Apply.

    NOTE: You can delete the information from the Instruction section for the selected Capability by manually removing the data from each field and then click the Apply button.

To update documents or instructions

  1. Open the Recipe details page and then select an instance of a Capability in the Procedure container.

  2. Click View Document. The Document View Details sliding window appears.

  3. In the Instruction section, do the following:

    1. Instructions: Modify the instructions specific to this Capability for the operator.

    2. Document Label: Update the existing description of the document provided.

    3. Document URL: Update the existing URL for the document. In execution, the document content will be displayed. You can open only those document types that are supported by a browser.

    4. Test URL: Click the Test URL button to verify the given URL.

  4. Click Apply.

    NOTE: You can remove the information from the Instruction section for the selected Capability and revert to the original instructions or documents added during the Procedure configuration by clicking the Use Default button.
