Capabilities are abstract functional entities (mix, bake, etc.) that are used by both Equipment and Recipe Template Procedures. Each Capability has a set of parameters and a configurable set of control/status functionality. Capabilities can also be defined to require an "Ack On Exit" by the operator before they complete. The set of Capabilities makes up a global Capability library.
Capabilities are versioned, but do not have an Approved state. Capabilities can have one of three states: Draft, Current, or Obsolete. You cannot delete Capabilities from the system. If a Capability is no longer in use, you can set its state to Obsolete. If you update a Capability - for example, through an additional Capability Parameter - all Equipment and Recipe Templates that are using this Capability are marked for an upgrade.
When you click Capabilities from the Main menu, the Summary page appears. By default, the Summary page shows the Tile view that contains the following information about existing Capabilities:
-
Name
-
State
-
Number of parameters
-
User who has it checked out (if applicable)
The total number of Capabilities is shown at the bottom of the screen unless you have used filters to limit the Capabilities shown. If you perform a filter operation, the filter icon appears at the bottom of the screen. For more information, see Filtering.
Click the Grid View icon to view the Summary page in the Grid view format.
You can click any of the tiles (in Tile view) or click View (in Grid view) on the Summary page to navigate to the Capabilities detail page. The Capabilities detail page provides the following details:
-
Name and description of the Capability
-

-
