Work with Units of Measure

You use UOMs in the parameters you create for your Equipment and Formula Templates.

Editing a UOM updates it everywhere it is used, including currently assigned Formulas that are running. You can also update a UOM name, but not to a name already in use (including UOMs marked as deleted).

You can delete an existing UOM. When you delete a UOM which is in use anywhere in the system is marked as deleted and continues to show with an asterisk mark (*). You can re-add a deleted UOM. Once you re-add the UOM, the asterisk mark (*) disappears.

To create a UOM

1. From the Main menu, select Configuration > Units Of Measure to display the UOM details page.

2. Click the Add button.

3. Enter the UOM Name and Description.

4. Click Update to save the new UOM.

To edit a UOM

5. From the Main menu, select Configuration > Units Of Measure to display the UOM details page.

6. Click Edit next to the UOM you want to change.

7. Make the changes to the UOM.

8. Click Update to save your changes.

To delete a UOM

9. From the Main menu, select Configuration > Units Of Measure to display the Units Of Measure details page.

10. Click Delete next to the UOM you want to delete. A confirmation message appears.

11. Click Yes.
