You use the Parameter Groups editor to add, edit, view, and delete the parameter groups.

Add a Parameter Group

You can add a new Parameter Group by using the Add option. The newly created Parameter Group will appear as a nested tab under the Parameter tab of the entities such as Formula Templates, Formula, Recipes, Execution, and Reports.

To add a Parameter Group

  1. From the main menu, select Configuration > Parameter Groups to display the Parameter Groups details page.

  2. Click the Add button.

  3. Enter the Name and Description.

  4. Click Update to save the Parameter Group. The Parameter Group is added, and by default, the next incremented position is set. This position specifies the order in which the extensions appear.

Edit a Parameter Group

You can edit the Parameter Groups by updating the details such as name, but the modified name must be unique. Any update to the Parameter Groups will update all the entities that have referenced it.

NOTE: If you rename a group, then the existing Recipes/Formulas using the group still will have the old group name and new Recipes/Formulas using the group will have the new group name.

To edit a Parameter Group

  1. From the main menu, select Configuration > Parameter Groups to display the Parameter Groups details page.

  2. Click Edit next to the Parameter Group you want to change.

  3. Make the changes to the Parameter Group.

  4. Click Update to save your changes.

    Delete a Parameter Group

You can delete an existing Parameter Group except for the predefined group General.

If the Parameter Group is used anywhere in the system, then the selected parameter group is only marked as deleted and continues to show where it is used with an asterisk (*). A deleted Parameter Group can be re-added. Once you re-add the group, the asterisk (*) is removed.

    To delete a Parameter Group

    1. From the main menu, select Configuration > Parameter Groups to display the Parameter Groups details page.

    2. Click Delete next to the Parameter Group you want to delete. A confirmation message appears.

    3. Click Yes.

      View the Parameter Group Permissions

The View Permissions option displays the Parameter Group Permissions slide-in window that lists the Users and Groups with permissions to the selected parameter group. Users and Groups granted the “All Parameter Groups” privilege and those with explicit permission on the selected Parameter Group have permissions and are included in the list.

      To view Parameter Group permissions

      1. From the main menu, select Configuration > Parameter Groups to display the Parameter Groups details page.

      2. Click View Permissions beside the Parameter Group to view the permissions. A slide-in window with the list of users and groups associated with the selected Parameter Group appears. Only the users and groups displayed in the list can work with the selected Parameter Group.

      3. Click Close.

Set the Display Position of the Parameter Group

Once updated, the Groups in Formula Template, Formula, Recipe, Execution, and Reports appear as nested tabs in the new order which you define by setting the position.

To set the display position of the Parameter Group

        1. From the main menu, select Configuration > Parameter Groups to display the Parameter Groups details page.

        2. Click Set Position. The Set Position slide-in window appears.

        3. Drag the Parameter Groups to set the new display position of the group.

        4. Click Set. The new display position is updated in the grid.

        5. Click Close.
