Installation Issues

The following table lists the known compatibility issues, listed by their change request number.

In a Redundant SSO configuration, the Recipe Management OMI Application fails to log in when the AVEVA Identity Manager (AIM) service is not running on the configured primary System Management Server node.

Workaround: Apply Hotfix IMS 3353541.

An error occurred while configuring the Recipe Management Server feature in a workgroup setup.

Workaround: To ensure successful validation of user credentials in a workgroup environment, it is necessary to configure the Primary DNS suffix on the workgroup machine.

To configure the primary DNS suffix for a computer, follow the below steps:

  1. Right-click on My Computer and then select Properties.

  2. Click the Computer Name tab. This tab displays the computer name, the workgroup or domain to which it belongs, and a brief description of the computer.

  3. Click Change, and then click More.

  4. In DNS Suffix and NetBIOS Computer Name, type your domain name, for example, citect.com

  5. After applying these changes, you must restart the computer to initialize it with its new DNS domain name.

AVEVA InTouch OMI App does not load when AVEVA Identity Manager is configured on a remote node.


Workaround: Do the following:

Note: Make sure PCS Service Repository feature is installed on System Management Server (AIM) node and perform the steps given below to pair the GR and AIM nodes​.

Steps to be performed on AIM Node: ​

  1. Navigate to <System Folder>\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArchestrA\Services folder.​

  2. Launch aaServiceConfiguration.exe as Run as Administrator.​

  3. Click Configure in ArchestrA Services window. ​

  4. Click ArchestrA pairing Solution menu.

  5. Click Enable remote pairing checkbox.​

  6. Provide the same PassPhrase (say, Test123$) provided in the GR node.​

  7. Click Ok button.​

    Pairing enabled dialog window is displayed.​

  8. Click Ok button.​

    Steps to be performed on GR Node: ​

    1. Navigate to <System Folder>\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArchestrA\Services folder.​

    2. Launch aaServiceConfiguration.exe as Run as Administrator.

    3. Click Configure in ArchestrA Services window. ​

    4. Click ArchestrA pairing Solution menu.

    5. Click + button​.

    6. Enter remote AIM node in Target service repository node text field and update PassPhrase text field (say, Test123$)

    7. Click Ok button​.

      Launch the AVEVA InTouch OMI App to open AVEVA Recipe Management application.
