You can make changes to an existing Recipe Template.
You cannot delete a Recipe Template, but you can change the Recipe Template's state to Obsolete if it is no longer in use. You cannot make a Recipe Template Obsolete unless all the Recipes derived from it have been made Obsolete.
You must check out a Recipe Template to make changes to it, other than changing the state. You can check out Recipe Templates individually, or you can check out multiple Recipe Templates by using the Multi Select function. For more information, see Multi Select Feature.
To edit a Recipe Template
-
From the Summary page, click the Recipe Template you want to edit.
-
If you selected a single item on the Summary page, click Check Out on the details page. Once the Recipe Template is checked out, it returns to the Draft state.
-
Once you have made all your changes, click Check In to permanently save your changes. If you do not want to save your changes, you can click Undo Check Out to return all the fields to their original values.
-
Specify the state of your Recipe Template by clicking the Set State button. You must have permission to change the Recipe Template state. Once the state is changed to Current or Obsolete, Draft is no longer an option. You can only change the state from Current to Obsolete or vice versa. The state of a Current or Obsolete Recipe Template automatically changes back to Draft if it’s checked out again.
NOTE: You can set the state of a Recipe Template to Current only after assigning or setting the Formula Template.
-
Click the back arrow icon to return to the Summary page. All the changes are updated in the Recipe Template's tile.
