AVEVA™ Recipe Management

Performance Threshold Limitations

Performance is influenced not only by the number of parameters in a recipe but also by the number of recipes running simultaneously and the number of parallel branches within each recipe. With a standard server installation of 4 cores and 16 GB RAM, we recommend adhering to the following thresholds to ensure optimal performance of AVEVA Recipe Management:

  • Procedure Tokens: The total number of procedure tokens (including capabilities, loops, branches, and transitions) should not exceed 200 per recipe, with a maximum of 5700 parameters per recipe. Exceeding these limits can increase complexity, slow down processing, and potentially cause delays and errors in recipe execution.

  • Parallel Running Equipment: The number of equipment units operating concurrently should be limited to a maximum of 40. Exceeding this limit can strain system resources, leading to performance degradation and potential system failures.
