About Execution

Once the Equipment, Formulas, and Recipes are properly configured and "Approved" they become available for execution.

The Execution Summary page displays the Equipment available to download Formulas or execute Recipes. By default, the Summary page shows the Equipment in the Tile view and the tiles contain the following information about each Equipment:

• Equipment Name

• Status - indicates the status of the Equipment

• Recipe or Formula assigned for execution, as applicable - shows the name of the Formula or Recipe last assigned to the Equipment.

• Keywords (if applicable) - The Keywords icon displays a list of Keywords available for the selected Equipment when you move the mouse over the Keywords icon. In the case of Grid view, a separate column Keywords displays the lists of Keywords available for the selected Equipment. The Keywords appear in the order in which their individual positions are assigned in the Keywords page.

Click the Grid View icon to view the Summary page in the Grid view format.

You can click the tiles (in Tile view) or click View (in Grid view) on the Summary page to navigate to the Execution details page.

For the Equipment to be available in Execution, the following conditions must be satisfied:

• The Equipment is "Approved."

• At least one User or User Group has execution permission on the Equipment. For more information, see Working with Users/Groups.

• Only if the system is configured as "Integrated with AVEVA Application Server": The Application object representing the Equipment must be deployed. Otherwise, it is shown grayed out. See the AVEVA Recipe Management Application Object Template for details.

The Execution details page provides the following information:

• Name and description of the Equipment used

• Version details

• Current State of the Equipment

• Recipe or Formula details

• Batch Size

• Equipment Parameters, Formula Parameters, and Procedure details

  NOTE: All the three tabs are available only if the Equipment has a Recipe assigned. The Equipment parameters tab is displayed only when you are downloading a Formula.

• Advanced and Basic filter

• More Details - On the Execution Details page, click the More Details icon to view the Equipment Version, Propagate Status, and Keywords details. The More Details icon also displays the control recipe extra details such as label and value. These details appear in the More Details area based on the ascending display order in the ControlRecipeDetails table. If the display order is the same for some rows, then the display is based on ID(order in which they inserted into the table). If the display order is “null” then these values will not be displayed in the details section.

If the execution services fail, the following behavior is displayed:

• On the summary page, the tiles are grayed out and the Equipment is not available for execution.

• On the details page, every 30 seconds the following error message: "An error occurred while attempting to communicate with the Execution Service/Engine!" appears.
