Upgrading Wonderware Recipe Manager Plus replaces the previous version of Recipe Manager Plus.
Note: Upgrade does not affect the data stored in the SQL Server database, and the existing information of Recipe Manager Plus is migrated to the latest Database.
The following is a list of important points that you must note after the upgrade process.
-
New menu items Keywords and List Data Types are available under the Configuration menu.
-
All equipment (in the Execution display) with assigned or executed formulas/recipes should be reassigned. Some values from old ones may show up as blank.
-
A document that describes all the Resource string modifications/additions, since the previous version, is available on the CD at "InstallFiles\Messages." It is useful if you have localized an earlier version of Recipe Manager Plus.
If you are upgrading from a version earlier than 2014 R2 (v2.0), you must use the IDE Import utility to re-import Equipment to their existing RecipeManagerPlus App Objects (after you import the latest RecipeManagerPlus App Object into the Galaxy). This will update the URL the objects use to point to the Recipe Manager Plus Server (if it has changed). The IDE Import utility itself may need to have its Server Site node name updated in order to perform the import. For more information, refer to the section below.
For more information regarding the upgrade from a previous version of Recipe Manager Plus, see the Upgrade section of the Recipe Manager Plus Installation Guide.
