AVEVA™ Recipe Management

Localization

AVEVA Recipe Management is designed to facilitate localization. The default language of AVEVA Recipe Management is US-English and is the only language in which the AVEVA Recipe Management is delivered. You can easily add a new, or override any existing language by using the command line utility RepositoryResourceUtil.exe, located in AVEVA Recipe Management’ bin directory. The system can be configured to contain as many languages as needed. Each user will get to see the User Interface and all warning messages in the preferred language, regardless of the regional settings of the Server or the Operating system used as long as the selected language has been added to the system.

The content of AVEVA Recipe Management configuration, i.e. the defined Equipment, Capabilities, Parameters etc., are not localizable. However, you can create, for example, a French or German model using French or German (or any other languages) extended characters.

Any users’ default language is NONE which assumes that the language to be used by the user is US-English.

You can use “Set Language” to set the default language of a user to a specific value. For more information, see the Setting Up the User Preferred Language topic.

The system allows only to select one of the available languages.

NOTE: You can also localize the AVEVA Identity Manager site or the login page using the languages file available in the C:\Program Files (x86)\AVEVA\ArchestrA Identity Manager\Host\Resources\Languages location folder and setting the language preference in the browser. For more information, see the Localizing the ArchestrA Identity Manager topic.
