Parameter Groups help ease the management of parameters and parameter extensions.
Parameters and Parameter Extensions can be grouped into a single set to represent their relationship. This allows you to sort parameters based on groups in grids as well as in modifying Parameter Extensions by specific users/groups during runtime.
During the configuration of Formulas, only the extensions under All Groups assigned or that belong to the same group as the parameters can be modified.
You can create Parameter Groups only if you have the necessary permissions to access the Parameter Groups menu. By default, the following three Parameter Groups are predefined in the system: General, Input, and Output. General is the default group for all parameters.
The Parameter Groups page allows you to:
-
Add new Parameter Groups
-
View Parameter Groups added by another user
-
Delete the Parameter Groups
-
Edit the Parameter Groups
-
Set the order of a Parameter Group through its 'position'
