You can make changes to an existing Formula Template.

You must check out a Formula Template to make changes to it, other than changing the state. You can check out Formula Template individually, or you can check out multiple Formula Templates by using the Multi Select function.

To edit a Formula Template

  1. From the summary page, click the Formula Template you want to edit.

  2. Click Check Out on the details page. Once the Formula Template is checked out, it returns to the draft state and the Add Parameter, Import, and Export buttons along with the Edit and Delete buttons appear in the Parameter grid.

  3. Click Add Parameter to add new Parameters to the Formula Template.

  4. You can also click the Edit button to put a Parameter into an edit state so you can make changes. The Update and Cancel buttons are displayed. The Update button saves the changes you make to the Parameter, while the Cancel button undoes the changes to the Parameter. Click Delete to remove a Parameter.

  5. Once you have made all your changes, click Check In to save your changes permanently. If you do not want to save your changes, you can click Undo Check Out to return all the fields to their original values.

  6. Specify the state of your Formula Template by clicking the Set State button available next to the Formula Templates menu. You must have permission to change the Formula Template state.
Once the state is changed to Obsolete, Draft is no longer an option. You can only change the state from Current to Obsolete or vice versa. The state of a Current or Obsolete Formula Template automatically changes back to Draft if it is checked out again.

  7. Click the back arrow icon to return to the summary page. All the changes are updated in the Formula Template's tile.
